Eligibility for UPSC Civil Services 2022

Candidates for this examination must be degree holders or graduates (degrees obtained by the University Grants Commission). Indian students holding a foreign degree must be assured that their degree is UGC authorized or considered.

Minimum and maximum age for UPSC examination

  • The student is in a general category must have completed 21 years in the first year of the OBC (Creamy Layer) exam, and not more than 32 years of age in the first August of the year.
  • Students with OBC (Non-Velvet Layer) have completed 21 years in the first year of the exam year, but not 35 years in the first August of the exam year.
  • Candidates belonging to the SC class should be 21 years of age on the first day of the examination on August 21 and have not completed 37 years on the first August of the examination year.
  • Students ranked with the ST category must have completed 21 years in the first year of the exam year, but have not completed 37 years in the first August of the exam year.

Physical Ability (UPSC Civil Service Exam 2022 Notification)

Length:
Male candidate length should be at least 165 cm. Candidates with 160 cm SC / OBC can also apply. The length of the female applicant should be 150 cm. 145 Centimeter SC / OBC female candidates can also apply.

Chest:
At least 84 centimeters for men. At least 79 centimeters for women.

Vision:
Healthy eyesight should be 6/6 or 6/9. Weak eyesight should be 6/12 or 6/9.
