What is calorific value of fuel formulae?
The calorific value of fuel is the quantity of energy available in the fuel and is usually derived in Joules per kilogram (J/kg). The formula to calculate the calorific value of fuel is : Calorific value = Mass of fuel x Lower Calorific Value (LCV) + Mass of fuel x Higher Calorific Value (HVC). LCV and HVC are both taken in J/kg.
